Camp JCC Leases Pristine Eight Acre Lake and Nature Preserve

Camp JCC is opening a new four acre lake this summer.   In addition to the smaller lake that has been in use for the last 20 years on the beautiful 22 acre campus in the Citrus Park area of Tampa, the new lake will provide far more than expanded water sport program.  The Tampa JCC & Federation is leasing the lake and surrounding four acres of beautiful, preserved land from the Florida Turnpike Authority.    The natural wildlife living in the majestic pine, oak and magnolia trees has been undisturbed for 25 years.  The lake is teaming with a variety of fish and tortoises. Campers will enjoy paddle boating, canoeing and fishing in the lake.  A new nature center on its banks will further enhance the camp experience.  Swimming, drama, sports and lasting camp friendships - the favorite camp standbys remain,  and are enhanced by the newly expanded area .  Nestled in a lush, tree-lined setting, the new lake and nature center truly enliven the entire camp experience.

Camp starts June 17. A few spaces remain…
